Apple Pie Latte

Mom's apple pie meets Saltwinds espresso


    Warm apple notes and rich spices pair perfectly with a Saltwinds espresso!

    Capture the essence of autumn in this warm and cozy drink! A spice apple syrup is used to impart the rich taste of apple pie, and Saltwinds Summer Squall Espresso adds the perfect caffeinated kick. Top with hot milk and, for a treat, add a squirt of whipped cream and drizzle of maple syrup. Autumn in a glass!

    Note: We like to use pure apple syrup for this recipe, like this one from Coburn’s (https://www.coburnfarms.ca/apple-syrups/). Can’t find apple syrup? You can make your own by simmering chopped apples with a bit of water and brown sugar until soft, and then straining.

    Pull your espresso shot

    Place the apple syrup in a serving glass and pour your prepared espresso shot straight into the glass. Stir briefly to dissolve the apple syrup


    Add the milk

    With the glass at an angle, slowly pour in the frothed milk - create some latte art on top if you feel ambitious!


    Garnish as desired

    Dollop the whipped cream gently on top of the glass and drizzle over the maple syrup, if using. Enjoy!
