Today, we’re diving into the wonderful world of moka pot brewing with Saltwinds Coffee. If you’re new to the coffee game, fear not, because we’ve got your back with this simple, no-nonsense guide to brewing the perfect cuppa.

Gather Your Gear

To get started, you’ll need:

  1. A moka pot (an awesome stovetop coffee maker).
  2. Some Saltwinds Coffee (pick your favourite blend).
  3. Fresh filtered water.
  4. A grinder (if you want to grind your own beans).
  5. A stove.
  6. Your preferred dairy and sweetener.

Quick Tips:

  1. Rinse your moka pot after each use – it’ll keep things fresh.
  2. Don’t let the coffee sit on the stove too long after brewing, or it might get bitter. We don’t want that.
  3. Don’t be afraid to play around with different grind sizes, water-to-coffee ratios, and brewing times until you find your perfect cup. Coffee is all about personal taste, so experiment and have fun with it!

Grind It Up

If you've got whole bean Saltwinds Coffee, time to grind those beans. Aim for a medium-fine grind. Don't have a grinder? No worries, pre-ground coffee works too!

Fill It Up

Now, unscrew the bottom chamber of your moka pot and pour in fresh filtered water. Just fill it to the safety valve line – not too much, not too little, just right!

Coffee Bedding

Next, pop the metal filter basket into the pot and fill it with your freshly ground Saltwinds Coffee. Just level it off and give it a little shake.

Put It Together

Time to reassemble your moka pot by screwing the top and bottom chambers together. Pop it on the stove, set the heat to medium-low, and let the magic begin!

Wait It Out

As the water heats up, it'll flow through the coffee grounds, filling the top chamber with that heavenly aroma. Keep an eye on things, and when you see that rich, dark coffee coming through, take it off the heat.

Sip and Savour

Congrats, you're officially a coffee brewer! Pour that liquid gold into your favourite mug and then take a sip. Drink it black or add your milk and sweeteners of choice.
